ABOUT

TC Junior League is a great introduction to volleyball for athletes who are newer to the game or continuing to build their skills. No tryouts are required, and players of all experience levels are welcome.

The league includes practices and games in a fun, supportive environment that emphasizes skill development, teamwork, and confidence on the court. It’s the perfect opportunity for athletes to learn the game, stay active, and develop a love for volleyball while preparing for future competitive opportunities.

divisions

Players will be placed into one of two skill divisions: RED (Beginner) or BLACK(Intermediate).

Placement is based on overall skill level, athleticism, and coachability, not just age, determined through the preseason assessment.

practices and games

Programming includes an initial assessment, 2 practices, and 6 weekly games.

Practice sessions will focus on developing fundamental volleyball skills and introducing key terms and game knowledge in a fun, supportive environment. Training is designed to help players build confidence and improve their overall understanding of the game.

For games, each match will be played as a best 2-out-of-3 format.

Coaches will offer real-time, in-game feedback to help players improve ball control and reinforce fundamental skills.

Players will be encouraged to use all three contacts: pass, set, and attack, before sending the ball over the net. In addition, coaches will introduce basic defensive movements, court awareness, and effective communication to support overall game development.
