TC FUTURES

TC FUTURES

TC Futures is the starting point for young athletes who want to learn volleyball the right way.

Designed for players ages 9-11 who are still developing their skills, TC Futures focuses on building a strong technical foundation in a positive, energetic environment, while allowing them to begin competing at a young age. Athletes will learn proper passing, serving, setting, attacking, movement, communication, and game concepts while developing confidence and a love for the game.

Unlike recreation volleyball, TC Futures follows the same teaching philosophy and techniques used throughout Top Caliber's competitive programs. Every practice is intentional, with experienced coaches breaking skills down into age-appropriate progressions that prepare athletes to compete in a real club volleyball environment.

Throughout the season, athletes will participate in structured practices, competitive drills, game-like situations, and local tournament experiences that allow them to apply what they've learned in a fun, supportive setting.

Our goal isn't to win games at this age, it's to develop fundamentally sound athletes who are prepared to move into the next level of the Top Caliber pathway.

TC FUTURES PRACTICE AND TOURNAMENT INFORMATION & SCHEDULING

Teams in this TC FUTURES will compete in 3 Carolina Region tournaments within a 2-3 hour radius, and 1 local scrimmage. Practices will begin in November as our typical club season does, and athletes will practice one time per week for 1.5 hours on Sundays.  Practices for TC Futures will be held at Ayden-Grifton High School with the occasional visit to our new facility in Kinston.

Tournament schedules are set and managed by the tournament organizers and are typically released shortly before the event, meaning for Carolina Region Tournaments, we will not know the actual location until about 2 weeks before the event.

TC Futures will have 10 athletes on each team, and we will have more than one team if necessary. This program will have 2 dedicated coaches per team, as well as 2-3 High School Junior Assistants. All athletes who are interested in being a part of TC Futures will need to attend tryouts with our middle school athletes in September.  More information on this program will also be given at our Middle School Parent Information Session in September.
